An Exceptional Place to Flourish

Year 3

To finish off our week's exploring of multiplication and division we are going to look at dividing more complex numbers. We will only be starting to look at this today, to help us when we go into depth with it next week. The video below explain what we are doing and includes a few questions to try out.

Spr3.2.5 - Divide 100 into 2, 4, 5 and 10 equal parts

This is "Spr3.2.5 - Divide 100 into 2, 4, 5 and 10 equal parts" by White Rose Maths on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.

For an extra challenge try and work out all of the different numbers that 100 can divide by equally, without leaving any left overs.
What's the biggest number you can divide 100 by? Can you explain how you know?

Are there any patterns to help you work out what divides 10 divides into? Can you explain what these patterns are?
