Don't forget please email us any work! We'd love to see it.

Write two sentences about what you did yesterday. Start a diary for the future generations to read.

Collective Worship- Thankfulness

Being thankful is something we do all around the world. One of the main things 2020 taught me was how to be thankful for what I have.

What happened in 2020 that affected us all?

Who could we thank?

What were you thankful for in 2020?

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for giving my family a warm home, medicine, clothing, food, water and the chance to go to school. Please bless the children around the world who don’t have these things. Help me remember to give thanks for all the blessings in my life.

Time to recap on those tricky words. Have a listen to the tricky word songs. Sorry grown-ups these songs may be stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

Grown ups: I have added the answer sheet for some added help.

My Wonderful Life: Feeling Special and Safe

Today we will be looking at what makes us feel special and safe. Just take 5 or 10 minutes to sit down and answer the below questions whether they are in your head or you write them down on a piece of paper.

What makes you feel special and safe and why?

Who makes you feel special and safe and why?

Where do you feel and safe and why?

If you’ve answered them for yourself why not ask someone in your house these questions.

In Geography we will be looking more into Antarctica. Find a picture of Antarctica on the internet (I have put some below as well) and label it with things that you notice. It could be the colours that you see, what you think it would feel like to be there, are there any animals in your picture. Just write down anything that you notice in the pictures.

Don’t forget to use Adjectives and nouns. If you’re up for an extra challenge try turning your labels into descriptive sentences with conjunctions.

During Art/DT this half term we will be looking at Faberge Eggs, even making our own model of one towards the end.

The eggs were first designed as holiday gifts in the mid-1880s. They were handcrafted using gold, diamonds and semi-precious stones like emeralds and pearls. Each of the one-of-a-kind designs featured richly pigmented layers of glass enamel, gold leaf and laced metalwork. Faberge eggs ranged in size, from three to five inches tall, and took one to two years to complete.

The best way to learn about Faberge Eggs and plan to design our own is to have a look at some. Unfortunately the eggs are really expensive so you might not be able to look at a real one. Instead we will create a mood board with pictures from the internet.

There are some below which you are welcome to use, however if you would like to and can you are welcome to find your own pictures from the internet.

Don't forget to stay safe and happy!
