Last week in science we started learning about the 3 states of matter: solid, liquid and gas. Can you remember the properties of the 3 different states of matter?

Now that you understand that substances expand as they get hotter, and contract as they get cooler, we can use this knowledge to look at something else that happens when things are cooled or heated up...when things change from solid to liquid or from liquid to solid.
Here's a little activity to try with an adult, to explore melting of chocolate.
