Dr Walker's Church of England Primary School

An Exceptional Place to Flourish

Phonics

Today we are looking at reading words that have two consonants next to each other, for example 'cl' 'st' 'sp' etc, within a sentence.

Start off by playing the game below which you played last week. Your grown up will need to push the play button and then the next arrow, you can chose whether you want to do one or two minutes.

How many did you do in your chosen time?

Have a go at reading the sentences below to your grown up, or someone else in your house.

Feel free to have a discussion about what you think the answer is.

Do clocks get cross?

Can crabs clap their hands?

When you get wet, will you shrink?

Can we see the stars on a clear night?
