Today we will be continuing our work on using punctuation to add information to sentences. We have already learnt about using commas, colons and semi-colons; so today we will be expanding our knowledge of using dashes to show parenthesis.

Have a look at the information poster and then have a go at the Independent Activity and the Application Activity. If you don't have a printer, just record your answers on a sheet of paper. Remember to choose the level of work according to how confident you feel: one star = slightly easier, three stars = slightly harder!
